Torrey Pines Excursions

Tags:

Naturalists and members of the San Diego Society of Natural History made visits to the area we know as Torrey Pines State Reserve as early as 1883. The observations and results of these excursions contributed to discussions that focused on the plight of the rare Torrey Pine, a species of pine already in danger of total eradication.

Today, you can continue these guided nature walks with the San Diego Natural History Museum’s Canyoneers. Visit our website for a list of upcoming hikes.
