The Thin-legged Wolf Spider (Pardosa
sierra) is the most common wolf spider in San Diego County. It is a robust
and agile hunter with excellent eyesight.
An opportunistic hunter, the Thin-legged Wolf Spider pounces upon prey and will even chase it over short distances. They range greatly in size and color and will inject venom if provoked, however, their venom is not harmful to humans.
